Where does the captured CO₂ get permanently locked away?

In enhanced rock weathering, CO₂ is stored in the soil the rock is spread on and, eventually, the bodies of water the soil is washed into. This method imitates the natural carbon cycle, where the carbon captured helps to both enhance soil health and aid in the deacidification of oceans.
